Nat Torkington
Nat Torkington is a co-founder of Open New Zealand, an organisations aimed at making central and local government useful to citizens and businesses. Nat ran the first
web server in New Zealand, worked for a decade in the United States where he co-wrote the bestselling Perl Cookbook and chaired O'Reilly Open Source Convention and other O'Reilly conferences for over a decade. He is a consultant with a wide range of activities, and runs the annual Kiwi Foo Camp, a gathering of a variety of people from science, business, technology, arts, media and politics, where cross-discipline conversations and collaborations are fostered. He lives in New Zealand and consults in the Asia-Pacific region.
